What is Candle Sand?
Candle sand consists of small granules of candle wax. Lussommo® uses vegetable wax for this purpose. You pour the granules into a heat-resistant holder and insert a wick. This way, you can easily make your own candle without having to melt the candle wax first.
How does candle sand work?
- Fill a heat-resistant bowl or jar with Lussommo® candle sand.
- Insert the wick into the candle sand, leaving approximately 0.5cm protruding above the surface.
- Light the wick.
- A small amount of wax will melt around the wick, creating a liquid wax pool.
- After use, let the wax cool down. You can then remove the solidified piece with the wick and insert a new wick.
What are the advantages of candle sand over regular candles?
- Reusable: Unburnt candle sand can be reused.
